Abstract

ABSTRACT :
The "Hassan Fathy Center for Innovation and Arts" aims to enhance Egyptian identity in architecture and interior design by creating a sustainable model that reflects local heritage and aligns with the Egyptian environment. Inspired by Hassan Fathy's philosophy, the project emphasizes using traditional building techniques and local materials to harmonize with the climate and culture. It aspires to be a hub for creativity and learning, blending heritage with modernity while supporting local artists and craftsmen and raising awareness of sustainable design. By integrating rural and Islamic elements into contemporary designs, the project seeks to establish a unique architectural identity for Egypt, distinct from global trends. Despite challenges like the lack of a clear environmental architectural identity, limited use of local techniques, and the high cost of sustainability measures, the project holds great potential. It aims to promote cultural pride, mitigate climate change, support the local economy, and position Egypt as a leader in environmentally conscious architecture with a lasting societal impact.
